Chapter History

March 18, 1922
Alpha Epsilon is installed at The University of Georgia by Thomas Brightwell, Preston Upsaw Jr, Robert Powers, John Whitner, Frank Frost, Christopher Pearce Jr, Roin Wheaton, Owen Reynolds, Moses Murry Jr, Daniel Bennett and George Clark with John Hosch as the Faculty Advisor.
 
October 8, 1951
Alpha Epsilon moves into the Cobb House, located on 320 S. Lumpkin Street.
 
July 21, 1959
Alpha Epsilon moves from the 'Cobb House' to 247 S. Milledge Ave.
 
1970
A 'Distinguished Teaching Award' is created in the memory of Emil S. Troelston who served as faculty advisor for over twenty years. The award is chosen buy the student body and its presented at a yearly 'Yellow Rose Banquet' to honor outstanding teachers in the UGA Business school. Carol Bergold was the first recipient of the award.
 
1971
Alpha Epsilon moves into the 'Beta Delta' house, which is former property of the Delta Tau Delta chapter of UGA. It is located at 545 S. Milledge Ave, where it is still located today.
 
1971
Robert G. Morgan becomes faculty advisor.
 
1989
Joseph Godwin is named faculty advisor.
 
1990
Ray Kinder is selected as faculty advisor.
 
August 7, 1976
Women are admitted into the fraternity under Title IX of the national constitution.
 
2001
Ray Kinder announces his retirement and Jason Aldrich is selected as the new faculty advisor.
 
2002
Jed Gillispe becomes co-faculty advisor.
 
2007
Colleen White, from the UGA career center, becomes Alpha Epsilon's faculty advisor.
